Anya has developed her expertise in sustainable food and business management with over a decade of hands-on experience. Her career in food began as an itinerant cheesemaker in Europe and North Africa, followed by a position directing the International Presidia programme at the Slow Food Foundation in Italy.
In 2008, Anya founded Eat Real, a series of annual events that engage hundreds of thousands of Americans in sustainable agriculture and DIY food-making. In 2011, she founded the non-profit Food Craft Institute, on whose board she currently serves. Earlier this year, Anya closed Live Culture to become the CEO of Belcampo. At Belcampo, Anya is responsible for leading a group of innovative agricultural companies that are figuring out how make good food the old fashioned way on a larger scale than ever before.
