Ian Fitzpatrick

Before joining the Sustainable Food Trust as the Senior Researcher, Ian worked as a researcher for Global Justice Now, Sustain, Food Ethics Council and the New Economics Foundation, and was the co-founder of a co-operative bakery in Leeds (Leeds Bread Co-op). He is the author of a number of a reports including Sustain’s A Children’s Future Fund which argued the case for a sugary drinks tax, and a report on agroecology entitled From the roots up – How agroecology can feed Africa. Ian has an MSc in ethnobotany from the University of Kent, and a DPhil (PhD) in anthropology from the University of Oxford.
