Katy Stone is an editor and translator who has worked in Brazil, France, Portugal and the UK for Amnesty International, the World Social Forum and others. Her main area of interest lies in exploring how better food systems and food policy can play a key role in building more sustainable, resilient and healthy communities and environments.
A Londoner by birth, she recently headed up a food growing and distribution project with a small-scale fruit and vegetable farm in South East France. Alongside her work on the farm she also ran workshops for children to raise awareness of issues around food sourcing and sustainability. In September she plans to join UCL’s postgraduate degree in Global Prosperity, to explore the avenues for implementing these transitions. Follow her on Twitter.
