Policy and Communications Assistant
Megan Perry was born in Pensford, a village in North Somerset, and grew up in a rural setting surrounded by family members who have a farming or mining background. Because of this, she has always been interested in farming and rural issues. Megan studied for a BSc Econ in International Politics and International History at Aberystwyth University, and then chose to stay on and study for an MSc in Food and Water Security. Following this, she worked as a lambing assistant in Devon for two months, where she broadened her experience of farming. She now lives at home on a small farm near Pensford where her family rears Black Welsh Mountain sheep.
After having worked for Waitrose for a year while volunteering for the SFT, Megan now works full time as Policy and Communications Assistant.
