Andy Cato

Andy Cato is a first generation farmer who produces wild farmed grains and rears Red Sussex cattle in southwest France, and the south of England. He has spent the past decade developing Wildfarmed Grain – an organic, minimal till, mixed farming system focused on building soil fertility and biodiversity. Andy is the first Englishman to ever be awarded the Chevalier L’Order Merit de Agricole – the equivalent of a knighthood for services to agriculture. His 100 hectare farm in Gascony was recognised as the most innovative farm in France when awarded the prestigious Laureat Nation Agro-Ecologie 2020.
