Anne-Marie Szabo

Anne-Marie Szabo was born in Hungary and spent her childhood  in Argentina, New Zealand and Australia. A sociology degree with a focus on Aboriginal studies sparked her interest in exploring different cultures around the world, leading to ten years living in Europe, East Asia and the Middle East where she was exposed to many different foods, fascinating cultures and forms of agriculture. This, along with her permaculture training led to a strong interest in biodiversity, indigenous knowledge, the political economy of food systems and sustainable agriculture. Deciding to leave the corporate world and focus on her true interests, Anne-Marie most recently completed a Master’s degree with distinction in The Anthropology of Food at SOAS University in London.
