Colin Tudge

Colin Tudge is a biologist by education and a writer by trade with a continuing interest in natural history, evolution, agriculture and metaphysics. His published books are on food and farming, conservation and zoos, human evolution, taxonomy, genetics, birds, and trees; and his latest, Why Genes are Not Selfish and People are Nice, tries to make sense of life in general.

With his wife, Ruth, he is co-founder of the Campaign for Real Farming and of Funding Enlightened Agriculture, and Ruth and Colin together with Graham Harvey also co-founded the Oxford Real Farming Conference (now in its fifth year). Ruth and Colin are currently establishing the College for Enlightened Agriculture at Schumacher College, Dartington.
