Sophie Gore Browne
Sophie is a freelance journalist and writer based in Bristol, whose preferred ‘beat’ is the food system and environmental issues. She has been involved in various food start-ups like Rubies in the Rubble, Foodtrade and her own artisan bread business called Taboon Art. She also works with young children and in the long term is keen to inspire young and old about the natural world through education and her own stories.
Her impetus for changing food systems derived from a stint in California where she experienced the value of our food choices first hand by working at the local farmers market and as fresh produce clerk at the food co-operative. In the past she has contributed to The Fresh Produce Journal, The Jellied Eel and Eat In magazine, and worked as media campaigner for the documentary, PLANEAT.
