    20th November

11:15 - 12:30

Food procurement for good

SFT CEO, Patrick Holden, will join speakers from Food Sense Wales, The Big Fresh Catering Company and Sustain, to discuss how we can transform our broken food system.

Public procurement could have the potential to make large-scale changes along food supply chains – from farm to fork – leading to food system transformation. This panel discussion will explore what resources and solutions we have, what barriers currently exist and what we need to do to remove them.

15:15 - 16:30

Farm data to empower Welsh farmers

Patrick Holden, will join Soil Association Exchange for a session on farm data.

Alongside, The Exchange’s William Leabeater, Patrick will explain how data can help Welsh farmers navigate and prepare for the new Sustainable Farming Scheme (SFS).

The panel will also discuss how farm data collected by Soil Association Exchange in line with the Global Farm Metric framework can help farmers to navigate the scheme’s requirements to unlock funding and improve sustainability.
