About us
The Sustainable Food Trust (SFT) is a forward-thinking non-profit organisation dedicated to accelerating the transition to sustainable food and farming systems. Inspired by our philosophy of the interconnectedness of the health of soil, plants, animals and humans, our vision is for future food and farming systems that operate in harmony with nature, producing food that nourishes both people and planet.
Our work is based upon three key pillars: farming policy and practice; measuring and valuing sustainability; and public awareness raising.
The role
We are looking for someone who is proactive, enjoys spotting opportunities and taking initiative, providing leadership and influencing change at multiple levels. You will take the lead in shaping our policy agenda and developing a policy strategy that supports and strengthens the Sustainable Food Trust’s wider goals and priorities.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will identify where we can have the greatest policy impact across our core areas of work. You’ll help shape our policy positions and priorities, turning research, project insights and practical experience into clear messages and practical recommendations.
